The Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments commissioned RRC Associates, Inc. to complete a housing needs assessment for Lake, Fremont and Custer Counties. This website was be used to post information about the study and to gather input from residents and business owners. The study is now complete. Information from the 2000 Census was gathered for Lake, Fremont and Custer Counties. Decenial U.S. Census figures are based on actual counts of persons dwelling in U.S. residential structures. They include citizens, non-citizen legal residents, non-citizen long-term visitors, and illegal aliens. In recent census, estimates of uncounted houses, homeless and migratory persons have been added to the directly reported figures. While the Decenial Census is now over 7 years old, it can be used to provide a benchmark from which other information can be evaluated, including data compiled from the 2007 U.A.A.C.O.G. Household Survey which is currently in the field. To complete the survey, please click on the link to the right.
